16.9 Firestones ?

Are 16.9x 38 Firestone Super All Traction Field & Roads the same as 151's? What is the difference between Super all traction field &road, and all traction field &road?
Thanks for the answer.

Much less space between bars on the SAT. Many people believe that they don't work as well due to weight spread out over much more bar top surface area.

I understand what they're trying to say and I do agree that on some tracks a smaller tire seems to bite better because the bigger tires just "float" on the surface and can't bet into the track. But that logic would make me want to put on 11.2's to get the most per square inch of bar I could, and that hasn't been my experience on most tracks.

My personal experience is that the SAT's work very well for a new "soft" tire. I think it is the fact that you are getting more pulling edges on the track to pull you along. The front edge of your bar is what makes a tire pull - so if you have more of them on the ground at the same time you'll get more traction. At least that's how I see it...

I see what you are saying, but following that logic in the opposite direction, what if you had say 20% more lugs than the SAT? at some point each edge has almost no weight on it unless you put a very steep top cut on them.

I agree with the argument of the tire "floating" on certain tracks. Tunica would be a good example. I've watched guys with almost no tread drive right by the other guys. that track is so loose and sandy that you need it to stay on top and not dig to China.
