Clutch dust cover on G puller

Does anyone else have trouble keeping the dust cover on a JD G that's built for pulling? Mine will come off so I leave it off would be nice to have it on to keep the dust out.

Have you replaced the 3 spring clips? If not, that will probably fix the problem. Is the cover flange in good shape? Cover not warped? Just a couple of things to check.

Its unstyled G no clips good cover have a new one tried the old one to. I thought about drilling 3 holes in the pulley tap the holes and put screws to hold it, but if they come loose and come out might be like a bullet.

Ive seen a bead of silicon or gasket maker used on the inside of the cover. I just use electical tape around mine, holds well & comes off much easyer then duct tape.

That is exactly how my A is done. Three screws, works good.

Exactly how ours are done. Haven"t had one come off since.
