I've got mine down to about 3750 with 15.5x38s on 14" wide wheels. There are a few places to shed weight yet but you gota be creative. I really think if you want to bad enough you can get it real close to 3500. the numbers I speak of are without driver

Not to be a smart azz, but your pocket book will dictate that. Lots of light weight parts to be made or bought. How light are you wanting to go might be the correct question.

4000 is easy. That said If people can get a 880 Oliver to 3250 or less without a driver. Surely you can get a D17 that light.

Thinking about replacing wc with d17 better gearing and will withstand running 5500-6000 pound class better. Looking to go 3750 as I don"t run the wc in 3500 anyways

Mike, ive seen Kurt Hamlin? in 3750 with him on it, 75 lb wt,
with light wide front and alum rears...I dont know that one wiill make 3500...I was kicking this idea around too

Got mine to 3750 no driver with steel wheels, and 18.4 x30 tires, still had more I think I could have gotten.
