solved a traction issue (I hope)

Took my cast centers and rims off my super H Saturday and put on some 11x38 pressed steel rims
when we took off the cast one rim was 10in and other was a 9in wide.
My question is how much of a problem was this
has 12.4 on it and of course the tire on 9in always spun out first
the funny thing Is my father in law had this for 20 years and he had 13.6 on it, but that's how he bought it

How much of a problem was this? That could definitely be part of the problem. It could also have absolutely nothing to do with it. LOL! If you're still going to run the 12.4s on it, you should be better off. 11 inch is the factory size rim for the 12.4, so the 10 was an inch narrower and the 9 was shy by 2 inches, both of which are usually not good. Put them to the test is about all you can do now. I would expect an improvement. Let us know what happens.

I will very confidently bet that if you swap the narrower rim to the opposite side, it will still doin on the same side as before. 1" will make diddly difference, & due to the way the Differential works is the real reason that one spun first. Your talking about moving the sidewall in one HALF INCH on each side, 8" or more from the tread.
