North East Pullers!

I am reaching out to all pullers in the north east who are looking for another place to pull. Our club NEATTA will be voting for newer better insurance this season and we have been working hard behind the scenes to make this season better than ever before! We will be voting on the new insurance the 19th of Feb. The shedules are in and being checked for conflicting dates, etc. We do know that our first pull of the season will be at the Rochester fairgrounds in Rochester, Ma on April 26th at 9am with a rain date of the 27th. Once the dates are approved they will be posted along with our updated rules on the website at NEATTA.org. I will keep everyone updated on when the new rules and dates are published on the web! There has been some negativity surrounding the club from a few bad apples, but that has been addressed and our new rules will not have any tolerance to trublemaking. We are all in it for fun and a place to be able to pull on a monthly basis. I hope to see you all there!

We do not have a superstock class. We offer a stock class which is div I and an enhanced class div II which is for antiques with internal engine mods like larger bores and stroker kits. Basically that class is to give the machines that don't belong in the stock class but also don't fall in as a superstock a place to pull and have fun. Nobody with a stroked M wants to run it against a tractor with a 466 turbocharged and hauling down the track, so we made a place for them to have fun!

No, we have a 100hp limit and the sled we currently run won't
stop over 100hp machines. They wanted to go superstock in
the past and it caused an uproar within the club. There are
places around to pull superstocks so its not worth the future of
our pulls with this club. We have a good place to pull with a
good future ahead for the stock guys to play, so we don't want
to jeopardize it for those who have made a home pulling with
us.

Let's say a puller shows up with a 656D Farmall has the inj.pump turned up all the way and he enter's the 5500-Div.1. A short time later a puller with a truly stock Farmall M complains, An feels this is unfair. Adam,In all honesty what would you say about this. The guy on the 656 is going say the tractor is stock,(He's only made some adjustments). An on it goes............

We are always going to have that issue and you are correct. That would be a situation where the tech committee would have to discuss the situation. I mean if it is winning by a large margin at every pull then that would help the tech guys reach a decision. We are hoping for a transfer sled in the future and at that point we could run different mph classes to let guys run where they want. The guys with significant work don't/ won't want to pull a 5mph class but they would try say a 10mph class. Ask anyone on here and they will tell you that the only way to resolve that issue is mph. There will be growing pains, but we have a strong start for now.

WELL I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED I KNOWING MORE ALSO ? I AM THE VICE PRESIDENT OF CT TRANSFER CLUB AND LOVE TRACTOR PULLING , SO FAR I LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY , YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK WITH YOUR THOUGHTS - BOB MACDONALD

Hey Bob, I will keep you posted on whats going on. It should be a great season of pulling! Shoot me an email, i have a few questions for you. Thanks Ray for the explanation to Eric, it is a different kind of pull but its fun running different setups, its a new challenge!

Adam . Eric is a past president of the ct club also , very smart and fair guy, i am sure he could answer any question you have also ? We both like to win but also like it to fair and like i said he's a fair guy ! 95 % of out club memebers are good, fair and helpful guys, you are always going to have a few in any club just like you said , but you keep them in check and go from there ,

NOT REALLY SOME SOME SAFYTY ONES , ROLL BARS FOR ALL V 8 TRACTORS , IF YOU STOP BEFORE THE SHUT DOWN AREA, THE SLED GETS PULLED BACK TO WHERE YOU STARTED , IF SOMEONE DOESN'T HELP OUT BY THE SECOND PULL , THEY WON'T BE PULLING AT THE NEXT EVENT

Safety changes arent a bad thing. With any luck I can get my tractor together before the season is over. I haven't renewed my membership for this year yet but I have no problems helping if you guys need a hand when iam down there watching.

can't wait to pull again in Rochester.nice track and good people. hopefully the rains will stay away this year.great job Adam.

I agree! Rochester is one of my favorite places we pull. Great people, nice track, and a very fun day overall. I think the division II will be good as far as giving more class options to pull in, and if this year goes well, hopefully we can do a transfer sled and add another division for the turbo diesel guys. The schedule is almost done, our night pulls at Francis Farm all conflicted with weddings at the venue, so we are looking into alternate dates for that. Once we know I will post the schedule.
