lightweight g moline

Well your might want to get a aluminium tranny cover,pull the belt gear box out, an use aluminium cover plate,could pull p.t.o. out, dont forget to pull the 70lb shaft out to,lol it tends fall out in the rearend, might want a tin oil pan,your front axle is heavy,may incorparate light one,pedastal the axle sits on very heavy..its all in your rules let ya do..weld on axle plates,tin pan rims..i have a gtb..its heavy..but we didnt want to cut it down , cause we have no7 built.one the first ones.tin pan wheelsit go 5300.but u could get down mid 4500 or so ..maybe lighter .my opion. I own a superstocker with 800 goes 6800lbs ..so i think you could get a g down...hope this helps ..im sure thers otger guys .got them down to a very light weight..
 
it is at 5100 lbs empty now with 16.9x38s on pressed steel. i got a pair of hubs that weigh 38 lbs each for it. going to put on aluminum radiator with electric fan, make a light frontend with rack and pinion steering, aluminum hood, got plans of making lighter tranny cover, pto is out and belt pulley,taking toolbox off, 5 gallon propane tank,aluminum frame rails, aluminum brackets, and hoping to get between 4000 and 4500 with it. just wondering if any other tricks to help it get lighter that i didnt see or figure on. thanks
