ring and pinion swap

Will a ring and pinion from a 560 interchange with a super m? Or maybe the whole differential? Or what about a constant mesh gear swap with something? Im after some gear reduction in my super m

I am fairly certain the 560 gears will not work. How much gear reduction? What speed are you looking for? A set of M gears would have the same first as the super M but slower 2nd through 4th. The W6 gears are different. Some of the W6 gears sets had a one tooth slower first than an M/SM and then after that I don"t know from memory. More details would be helpful.

You can replace the 560 gas ring & pinion with a slower diesel ring & pinion!

560 want put in and m it will slow you down

You can put them in a SMTA but the main shaft with pinion gear won't work in a SM. One thing different on the pinion shaft is the splines and size for the sliding gears. Hard to find but what's called a low low first gear would work. Almost impossible for a SM.
