I was told the Traction Torque came out in 1963. They are a good pulling tire on a loose track if they are sharp. We put a set of road worn ones on last spring and we were pretty happy with how they did last summer.

I remember those being on a IH 656 my grandpa had when I was a kid. That tractor was bought new in 68 and I know they were the original tires. I think they were still on it when it was sold in the late 80's.

The early 60's Good Year ads in the Dakota Farmer magazine doesn't show Traction Torque tires, only the Sure Grip 45 degree tires are advertised.

I bought a set of 13.6x28 for my Super 55 Diesel in the late 1980s. Still have them and very low hours using them.

We have a set like those, 13-6-38. They are the best pulling tire we've ever had. When they went to top dressed tires around here, we had them top dressed by Ira Banter and they work really well on any track.

My limited knowledge on older tires makes me say that tire is a 1970 model tire. The ones from the 60"s didn"t have the lug reinforcing behind the lug. The model of tire in the pic were made into the late 70"s.

I think you are right. Dad put a set on a 1962 830 Case in about 1965 and they are still on it. The pulled good in the field and wore like iron
