This rather large object weighs 34,500 lbs empty. And it was empty. If it was loaded, it wouldn't have gotten stuck.
This was in the winter of 2012.
First what I did was use the tractor to pull the Kenworth out from under the trailer so I could re-hook the trailer at an angle so the tires wouldn't fall into the same holes they were parked in for the weekend.
Didn't work. It was stuck again.
So ...
Some shallow holes in the gravel, an accidental wheelie, lots of cussing & swearing, synchronizing my yanks while my dad sat in the truck working the clutch (didn't even attempt to teach him how to shift between 3rd & reverse so I just left it in 3rd), more cussing & swearing, .. then finally:
And a steering wheel jammed into my gut when I gave my dad the signal to stop, because he wasn't familiar with air brakes.
