Super .....needing specs for shifter rail slot

So last season with my stock farmall super m I was having issues in the trans where It would get in 2 gears.....today I pulled the deck plate and found 2 dent springs broke above the shift rails...also I've noticed the bottom and front and back of the shifter is wore....can someone give me a spec on the what the slot size is suppose to be on the rail...I was going to weld it and build it up along with a little work to the shifter

Weld,check,grind,check,grind,check,grind,check. Also check the pin in the shifter that it pivots on, they tend to wear a lot also.

OK on the weld and grinding.....pin was replaced with a new one last summer

Your shift leaver may be wore on end and is to short letting it jump out. I have welled on the bottom end to make longer or it is easer to find one not wore.
