Thank you Mark, for the nice comment....
Next on the list is the stock fuel tank bracket/steering support brace.....stock cast one comes in off 1941 m at 32 lbs....lets see what I can get it down to....;)

what I think is that people shouldn't use yt as facebook, what you did is all fine and great and serves the same purpose as the brackets I made out of 1x1x1/8 angle iron 10 years ago, should I post pics too?

As long as we don't start gettin selfies of the guys in their bathroom mirrors, this ain't nothing like facebook.

I don't know why you have to run negative comments? This is not fb that's why I posted them....If you want to post pics of your bracket go ahead you have the right to....

Do you also plan to mount the battery(s) up front as well? If so, race car battery mount kits from places like A & A Mfg, All Star, etc., work well for an 11" or shorter battery. Purchased as an un-welded kit, they can be trimmed to match the exact battery, then welded. Dave - Wellsville

I saw the pictures last night and was amazed at the workmanship, over the years I have always liked looking at pictures of modifications, hopefully everyone will keep posting. As a fan of tractor pulling I enjoy this forum.

the easyest way to fix your problem is to not look at these threads. I think its great to see these kind of ideas.

Thank you for all positive comments guys,
I will look into the battery box kit....a buddy of mine works at a maple product fab company and can get me some stainless sheet metal as well out of the scrap bin.....I could do a battery box out of that as well..

thanks again,
Kelly

Ya know dboll ur kind of d***. I started visiting yt mag just to see this pulling forum since then I've become more involved I. The harvester and implement etc because there is so much negative bs on this forum . Kelly u do nice work and that is coming from one fabricator to another you could build stuff for me any day and I'm pretty picky!

Hey Kelly. How much does that front weigh? Im in the process of doing the same but I'm thinking of scrapping the idea and building a aluminum one and putting my steel one on a buddies. Mines feeling a little heavier than I'd like.

great work Kelly, I enjoy seeing your work as well as seeing others, the super M I have plans for building unfortionantly got pushed under the grove of trees to make room for my smta that im restoring! keep up the great work

I would like to know what name to search for in FB? I would be more than glad to like your work and friend you! Olan

770 puller,
thank you that means a lot.....this was a pretty simple idea if you look close all I did was tig weld a 3/8 nut to a 3/8 washer. I used a 3/8 bolt and screw the two nuts on with the washer in the middle....tig welded the nut to washer then backed it off......cleaned them back up and flip them over and tig welded the washer to the 7/8 chromoly. Culped the 1 inch long pieces 1/4 of an inch to 7/8 size tube, then tig welded to cross members witch are also chromoly....

Clean and simple with some nice fab work that's the way you want a tractor to look... Maybe throw in alittle bling to set er off lol

Let's see your pics dboll. I'm not sure your angle iron will look as good as what he's made, but we can all be the judge of that!

Awchevy,
It was bugging me so when I went to fill my indoor wood boiler I took out my scale and weighed it.......48.lbs so far

Thanks Kelly. Mine was 44 so far. Not far off. Now I think I'm definitely gonna try aluminum. I gotta save as much as I can.

Old dboll doesn't have a Facebook account because he don't have any friends, or at least any that will readily admit it.
