I want to put my tractor on a dyno to work out some bugs. I don't have a pto and would like to find a way to do it without splitting the tractor. Anybody ever use the 9 bolt hub?

My 5stat will not have a PTO so....

I have the bright idea of going to a shop that has a chassis dyno.

Was thinking of using semi tires and wheels with a 9 bolt adapter.

I tried to get the local IHC truck dealer to check mine on the rollers. Wouldn't go fast enough. But a outboard dyno will work on the front of the crank. I have found one. Haven't tried it yet. Also I don't have a chart. So it is just comparison.

I don't know if this will help but I built an adaptor to go on the end of my belt pulley. Works good for my non PTO JD D's. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq8zkasCil8

I bolted my adaptor to the cover of the belt pulley. The adaptor turns with the belt pulley. When you engage the clutch, the belt pulley spins and the adaptor spins. It works good.

Of course I don't have that option with a row crop tractor as I would have to make a heavier duty cover or adapt to the flywheel. Either way I would have to remove the rear wheel.
