Looking for information on building a Case 1175 Puller. I will be pulling in a stock 5mph class and hope to move up from there. Any and all information will help. Thanks
 
Don't know what all your rules are but at 5 mph you shouldn't have to do a whole lot. Maybe get a pump and injectors for a 4690. The right tire may be more important.
 
if i'm not mistaken for 4690 injectors you also need 1570/2670 or 90 series heads as they are the big injectors and an 1175 has pencil tips, the big injector heads also have big valves for the 4 5/8 bore in a 504 and in the 4 3/8 bores you need to notch the sleeves to make them clear which shrouds part of the valve
 
You are right about the injectors needing the different heads Doug. There are a number of diesel shops in the country that can work over the pencil injectors.
 
For 5mph you don't need to do a thing but turn up your pump. If you want to jump to a faster class you will need to do more to it. If this will work watch this video. Its only improvement is a 1370 inj pump turned up everything else is stock. They pull it in a 13200lb 10mph class.

Around our area a stock 504 with only a stock pump from a 1570 or 2590 will not compete in a ten mph class, you will need a built pump and some cam and a better blower lines and a few other niceties to compete at 10 mph even with a 504. Are the valve ports the same size in a 1370 head as in the big injector 1570 heads?
 
Yeah I agree every area is different. These same guys run a 970 with a 504 in it with a 2670 pump turned up with a 3Lm turbo other than that its stock. They have no problem with it. They do extremely well with it against built tractors and have no problem at 10mph in 6th gear. In our area setup is more important than big power. Yes the heads are the same except the later one use thread in injectors.

My 1175 went to Missouri this summer and won the 9500# 12 mph farm stock points against bigger, more expensive motors. It's a 451 with 504 pistons, pencil injectors, 10mm A pump,3LM, vogel cam, and head work.
