I don't know if this will help but I built an adaptor to go on the end of my belt pulley. Works good for my non PTO JD D's. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq8zkasCil8

I bolted my adaptor to the cover of the belt pulley. The adaptor turns with the belt pulley. When you engage the clutch, the belt pulley spins and the adaptor spins. It works good.

Of course I don't have that option with a row crop tractor as I would have to make a heavier duty cover or adapt to the flywheel. Either way I would have to remove the rear wheel.
