If you can manage to make the super pull happen this year (hope you do) have you put any thought into adding a top cut class, or may be putting a tire size limit on the noncut class. I would like to hear others thoughts on this allso. Thanks

Good Question. It would be fun to have/see a good small tractor class. If they don't do it you will have to come to Sigourney Iowa in March.

Brad will have a top cut class!
He has already added it to his other pulls!

How light of class do you want and in what tire class or speed?

We allreddy start all classes at 3000lbs and 3 or 3.5 mph ?

Still working on a date with the Farm Show for either March or April 2014! We are planning on having it! And also working on tentative plans of adding a second MidAtlantic Super Pull in November at the Delaware State fairgrounds at their indoor facilities in Harrington Delaware. This would be in support with the newly formed DelMarVa pulling group.

Tentative new rules would be:
3 mph- non altered tire and small tire, no speed measuring devices
3.5- top cut class, small tire and no speed device
6 mph- any cut, 18.4 tire speed devices allowed
OPEN-any cut 18.4 tire, all safety eq. required if turning more than 3000rpms!

Pretty excited about two major indoor events in our area. One at the beginning of the season and the other at the end of the season. And classes for everyone!

Below is the Facebook page for the new group.

Glad to hear about the addition of the top cot class. Now if all the guys top cuts in the stock classes can run against
Each other. I've seen several running them and the people in charge of tech said nothing to them. It's sad that one or more of the tech guys were running top cuts in the stock tire classes .

Not shure what pull that your talking about but to my knowledge there was no one who was on a tech committee or pulling tires but had been altered on purpose that has not been moved to another class or disqualified after pulling that has been brought to our attention!

At Harrisburg several years ago. There was a allis wc or ed and a b farmall. Tires were definitely worked on I've been around pulling fo years and farmed sinci was.a kid I know road wear and they weren't road worn to flat of a wear pattern .

Swingin6 is correct..i was at Harrisburg a few years ago and saw the same thing...guess its all in who ya know, thats why i dont go.

I know both tractors and neither had any grinder/ sander or concrete spinning done to them!

The WC tires where worn as nice as you could get but no evidence of Grining Or altering these tires were found!
The BN tires are round on the front leading edge and road worn from being on the front of a 4wd tractor and the teck comeitte looked at both of them determined they were okay looked at another tractor who's tires had Grinder marks and was removed from Its class!

I'm sure that The pull could use Help and if you're good at judging tires and up on tractors you should be on the committee to help!

As with any PUll all help is appreciated!

Well cliff we will have to agree to disagree. Anyone who knows how to cut them won't leave marks. I've seen it done. You wouldn't want me to enforce the rules. I have pictures of the tires in question and you'll never convince me there not top cut. Fair is fair that's all I'm saying.

The easy way to stop the problem is just go top-cut like everyone else has done. If the front of the lug is cut your out. This road wear spinning and all other crap is just letting a select few get in and try to tell everyone else they have top cut tires and are DQ. I don't care how you alter the tire, don't touch the front of the lug you are fine.

I dont think that i have ever been to pull that didnt have a tractor with questionable tire ware. I have been to the last two super pulls and know for fact that Brad and his crew do there best to put this pull on and do a good job at it. If a tractor that pulled a few years ago didnt meet your approval and thats your reason for not attending then im glad your not going to be there to spoil the fun for the rest of us. Brad saw the need to add a top cut class and has, i dont know what more you want?!

Sorry, let me rephrase..pulled there a few years ago..and spectated since..same guys same tractors where there...i dont mind getting cheated now and again, but not at a $25 hook fee pull

I agree with supermpuller go to all top cut and problems are over. I didn't agree with this when USAP done this but have since changed my mind. It hurt me cause I had a set of tires that had not been touched and was doing extra good with them but evens every body up and in the end you can come up with a set of tires cheaper then trying to find that perfect set of tires.

Brad, I'm really glad to see you are going to be able to put this on. My only question is what is classified as "small tire?" That and why are speed monitoring devices not allowed in the 2 classes? Looking forward to coming out, hoping to have my new motor dialed in by then.

Hey Alan! Weight would be around 5000lb and below for small tire. Maybe just the 3mph with no speed devices-supposed to be "stock" class. That's our thinking anyway!

Hey Cliff, since weve yet to pull against each other since i got mine running right, how about this year...2500 4mph...and ill let you run whatever cut tire ya want! Lol
