4400 gas combine oil consumption

same old 4400 again, this time it's sucking oil like crazy. Check the gas-fill the oil! No leaks, and doesn't make any blue smoke...using 15-40 now, is there anything heavier I can use? Don't foul plugs, plugs arent even black. What's a heavier oil I can try?

Get some SAE 30W at your local JD dealer. Most guys in my area run it in there 30 series Deere tractors and I use it in my 2 stroke detroits.

make sure the 30 weight oil is a NON DETERGENT oil that will cut down on the oil consumption also. Regards John

Try some Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer
it works.

If it is using oil try cleaning the air filter. We have a 1660 IH that will use oil in beans if we dont clean filters.
