Farmall 560 starter HELP

I have a 560 gas, due to new high compression, starter can't turn it over. Been told to use starter off 560 diesel. If this is true what changes has to be made to make this work. Need some advice here. Thanks for any help I can get!! Lee
P.S. 10 1/2 to 1 comp. starter will just crank it over but not very quick.

1. a good electric shop may be able to upgrade your starter.
2. make sure your cables are big enough.
3. make sure battery is big enough and a good brand.

To run the diesel starter you will need the diesel flywheel also. The ring gears do not interchange.

Can a person use the starter drive out of the gas starter and put in the diesel starter? will they interchange?

Gas-Diesel bendix will interchange.Late model 574'674'584'684'784'884 diesel use gas bendix and use your 560 end that bolts to clutch housing.Late model 666 686 hydro used this set up

Forget all that and buy yourself a nice hi-torque starter.
