2014 Midatlantic Antique Tractor Super Pull

Well, we got kicked off our prefered date of March 22, 2014!
The Farm Show offered one date only on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Outdoor pulling season starts then. Should we have it? We would probably step on some other pull's date. That is Easter weekend also. Also, pretty significant rent increase. Should we have it? Or should we just forget it? Would you come? Your input is appreciated! Kinda feeling discouraged at this point!

My vote ---[u:8cc5d367d2][b:8cc5d367d2][size=18:8cc5d367d2]definitely have the Harrisburg MidAtlantic Super Pull[/size:8cc5d367d2][/b:8cc5d367d2][/u:8cc5d367d2].
I look forward to it. We make the trip down from NY, enjoy seeing the various classes and different models of tractors with all kinds of approaches to pulling. I don't even mind the occasional Case tractor in the lineup.

With the rent increase and less then ideal date, logic say's no. That being said, i'd still be there!! It's to good of a pull to not have. Hopefully you can find another location or date. Keep us posted

Rich, We've looked for different indoor locations and could not find anything satisfactory.

November thru February is filled with indoor soccer and other things. According to them the Equine arena and Barn are taken.

Being that late, I'd almost consider an outdoor pull somewhere - even e few weeks earlier wouldn't really be too early for an outdoor pull. I know weather can screw it up... but rentals will be a ton cheaper I'd think, and if you run the same classes and advertize I think you'd still get a nice turnout. I'd love to come whenever it is, but Easter weekend will make it extra tough to pull off with family events going on.

Brad,

This pull is quickly becoming a favorite due to fair rules and a class for everyone. My vote is yes, we will be there.

However, at the same time it has to make sense $$ wise. I think we should all look to see if there is another venue that could host maybe not right in the Harrisburg area but Pittsburgh, State College, York, MD, etc...

There are a few places that come to mind that I would say are worth loooking into in those regions.

Just my thoughts....

I had a geat time the year I went. Would come back if it was in conjunction with Keystone again. Just a little far to drive with an antiquer..

I am working with the Farm Show on a date. I made my pleas and requests. Will let you know when something is worked out! I would hate not having this pull!

That"s a tough date as nearly all the local clubs get started by then, at least we do in western pa. Plus being Easter weekend and a 5 hour haul. I have to say no for me and a few other locals here. An earlier date... count me in. You guys sure put on a great pull, no doubt, but I think I learned my lesson from last year, beating it home for ham dinner!! its alot of pavement when local pulling for many is 45 minutes away.

yeah it was really nice being the opener for the keystone nationals, plus many of us stayed to watch at least a couple days. you need to try to get us back in with that time frame. two birds with one stone kinda deal.
