M carb for sure. Super M carb is bigger I think.

talk to Gary Baker, Jeff @ murphys or chad...ask them what would be better. I am thinking they will bore your stock carb and set up for what your are doing.....rpms and so on...

If you go with a Farmall M carburetor change the venturi to a #23 or #24. The #27 that is in the M carburetor is to big and the tractor will not have any lugging power and drop off fast. I just went through that with a C175 (350) in my H puller. I run a #24 now and may try the #23 later. The #24 comes in the 350 utility.

running big valves n a ported head on a stock 175, is gonna run good on the high side but be a weak dog on the lugging rpm. running a super H venturi in the M carb will be too much for it. smaller carb is a must in this situation, I recommend a worked over H carb for best lugging rpm on this engine. keeps the velocity up at lo rpm.
