pulling with the super M

I posted the other day about pulling with my 53 super M. I pulled in the 6000lb farm stock and competive stock and then in the 6500 farm stock just cuz I wanted to make another hook. The tractor did well, I got a second place in 6000 farm stock behind a W6 was 3rd in copetitive stock and didn't do so well in 6500 but I also didnt' add any weights. I was running about 10lbs of air in the tires and wish i'd went down to 8 but oh well. I was happy, first time pulling with something other than an N series ford. Tractor start bouncing toward the end of the pull and the spectators loved it. I only wish there were more than this one pull in my area. Just thought I would share......happy tractoring

Keep it up, and glad your having fun. I spend all year trying to talk locals into trying pulling. I figure if i can get 4 or 5 to try it, 1 or 2 might get the itch, and participation grows at our local pulls.

People enjoy pulling because it is not a "PURE SCIENCE",WE CAN MAKE CHANGES,IT IS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL,JUDGEMENT CALLS AND ECT,BUT I ALWAYS SEE GUYS DOING POORLY,OR THE SAME MIDDLE OF THE PACK,and wonder why they do the things they do.Winning is not everything, but makes it more fun !!!!!!! Many little things add up to make a substantial difference in the end result.Good luck and keep at it,enjoy and learn from mistakes and others.

Different tracks and conditions will dictate how much psi you have in you're tires. Weight classes effect that too. Under inflated tires are almost as bad as over inflated tires.

Yeah thats right but in this case I needed less. I know that because of what I said in my previous post, the guys running lower air were doing better yesterday

(quoted from post at 22:21:57 10/13/13) Also.....I was not beat by any H's with movable weights as suggested in your reply to my post the other day
What weight class?
A 4 foot chain mostly eliminates the front heavy issue.

I was in the 6000 lb class, 5870 was what I weighed
to be exact, the chain might have made 4 foot if
that definitely no longer

Sounds like ideal conditions for your M.
In previous postings, I was refering to the disadvantage a front heavy tractor would have on a long chain pull.
