iam putting a ..g together for someone..its got a offset grd crank with powerblock..using a rods...pistons hit top of block..we had them machined down but they still hit...i dont know how much i dare machine them down getting close to top ring?..other than buying diff pistons...anyone ever have this problem what did u do?

Is the top ring still below the spark plug hole?

power block pistons are taperd at the top are you cutting the hole top of the piston or just putting a taper on the edge like a power block piston

i had edge on piston cut with a taper like it was.getting close to top ring thou...i thought about block spacer..iam afraid it will draw too much attention..iam not sure if top ring gets as high as plug i will check that out tonight

f the ring is still below the spark plug at tdc you should have a lot of meat to work with, if the ring passes the plug hole the you have other problems to worry about.
