Pulling on asphalt

Today we had a fun pull on asphalt after our tractor parade . It just occurred to me that not one tractor lifted it's front end when pulling the sled including my wd-45 that always lifts. All we did was spin out and shut down, but on our regular track we all lift-- is that weird or what ?

whats the theory behind reversing the tires? also will they wear the wrong way from spinning backwards?

Depends on how the sled is setup and what kind of track it is.. We run a sled on hard surface here in sw wisconsin. We use wood skids only but have rubber pads for the heavier tractors. From what I've seen the cement and old style blacktop hooks the best for the tractors.
