cubic inch formula

Radius squared times pie times stroke times number of cylinders. Example, a 4 inch bore with a 5 inch stroke and 6 cylinders. Half of the bore is 2 inches, so 2 x 2 x 3.14 x 5 x 6 cylinders = 376.8 cubic inches.

Leroy,
A college professor who is a motorhead showed me the B X B X.7854 X stroke X # of cyls, for years I used the "long" formula and once I used Randy's I never looked back, so much simpler. If U get lambasted I'm with you.

Just a thought if you are repeatedly doing the same calculation with different numbers. Any calculation I do repeatedly I have an ongoing spreadsheet I put it in. This eliminates potential error while punching numbers, allows me to see all the values after they have been entered, change only one to redo the calc, and I don't have to memorize the equations. I have it on a cloud drive so I can use it anywhere I have a signal.
