Just made it to the pull today at Wilcox Farms in Roy, WA. After fixing my governor issue on my Massey 101 and having to make adjustments at the track, I came back empty handed. The competition was tough in the modified classes.

Know what you mean. Got to the pull late, was confused about when it started. But they let JP and I pull anyway. Had to throw weight on and go. never got to look at track till I was on it. Did place, just barely. Made a good run in the 4500 next but, came in last. Good competition. Vic
 
Zack That is 2085 driving miles from our headquarters in Porter OK. How many hooks and what kinda rules you use? Beautiful looking country too. Not many 105 degree days there either I would think. Lynn
 
They use USAP rules. Just about all the clubs in the Northwest run USAP rules with 3, 4 and 6mph classes. I think there were 100-125 hooks yesterday at that pull and it is also a two day event. I had to get pictures taken today with the kids, otherwise I would have been tempted to stay. That show is at Wilcox Farms, which is a huge supplier of eggs in our area and has been there for over 100 years.

You are correct, we do not get extreme temperatures very often and it went from cool and very wet to blistering hot overnight. All that moisture has made it very humid for the past few days. Only saving grace were the tall trees around the track (we grow 'em big out here). We don't have A/C at my house and it has been miserable. It is now the dry season, won't see rain again until the 3rd week in October.

Yes, it was a great turn out. They have a farm festival, open museum and tractor show at Wilcox Farms along with the pull. Lots of people attend the show and watch the pull. Wilcox is one of the biggest egg suppliers in our area. The best part - they served free omelets all day!
