hitch questions

on my super H I use the swinging drawbar to pull from, I think length is 32 inches and my hitch height is 15-16 inches rite now I can pull around 100ft before she stalls out,(4500lbs class) if I make it 18 and 18 for div 2 will I pull more or less

thanks

The closer you get the hook point to the center line of the rear axle, the less the effect of movement of the front of the tractor has in loading the sled. The higher the hook point, the more lift the tractor has on the front of the sled and the less "drag" the sled has on the tractor. So if you move the hook point closer to the tractor and higher from the ground, the less effect the weight of the sled has and the better you should pull. Move it in and up.

If you are stalling, it is because the sled drag exceeds the motor torque, and your hitch height has very little to do with the sled drag. So you will still stall out, and the distance will be about the same. This assumes that all other things are equal (track, gearing, sled setup etc.)
