First Tractor Pull

No, not pulling, putting one on. A friend who has a fairly big vegetable operation has been thinking of having one for a few years. Finally he and I and a friend who has a sled got together. and reached an agreement. I built the track using the farmer's. equipment. In April I hauled material with his truck for two days, then leveled with his dozer. The greatest challenge was parking, but I had a plan and it worked out. We had just under a hundred hooks, and there were 10-20 general public who were visiting his farm stand watching for awhile all day. All in all it went well, and pretty much everyone, pullers, public, farmers, seemed to be pleased,

Good for you Colin! Wish I coulda made it!
Did you pull with the 9000?
Dave
Edit: :? Had a plan --- bus 'em in from Chester?

Yes, I pulled the 9000 and beat the host Farma Phil on his 5020. Him at 14,000 and me at 10,500. I know, poor manners.

Glad you did it. Every puller need to put on a pull once in there life and then just maybe they would be more considerate and play by the rules. 95 % are good honest people but you have a few that cause a lot of trouble

I went back Sunday PM to bring back another one of the four tractors that I had there and I took a walk through the whole area to police it up. All I found was one Dorito's bag and three empty water bottles, all of which were in one area where three-four guys were. Looks like overall a very upstanding bunch.
