Anyone?? What the deal is not sure if I done it correct but I have a Bullet camshaft soney ground it. My crank has been stroked but shouldn't change any thing. I degreed it and to get it to 106 I had to move gear 4 teath. I went to pull and pulled it With no governor it wouldn't turn 2000 rpm even at the start line with no load it will run rpm up to 4000
 
Sonny did the Cam for my M and it had to move a tooth and a half. Depending on the Cam design, if the torque falls off above 2000 it may not be able to pull itself up under load. Just a thought. How heavy was the sled off the line?
 
Figured it out I called him today he said don't look at cam card
Just line marks up he said he never changed the center line of cam
 
I've never worked on a high rpm 6 cyl before. If you have it at 106 now and he says move it back 4 teeth, what will it be timed at?

I have used lots of Sonny's cams over the years and all have been on the stock marks with only one exception, and that we moved one tooth and did a offset key to bring it back. That engine had a custom billet crank so whether or not the crank keyway was in the precise location has to be thrown into the mix. That measured out at 120 deg. Sonny is of the put it in on the marks and it'll work philosophy but I like the idea of verifying. Degreeing keeps your math skills sharp.
 
Who knows we're the key way is. Would pretty hard to stroke a
old crank and keep it all in line I did ask though what if my top
dead center is not the same as when in was stock that would
throw all the marks off. He said it would have to be pretty
close.
