2013 Western PA Classic Double Tree Rules

Hook fees will be set at $10 per pair. Each tractor is permitted to be in a maximum of 3 pairs per weight class (This is subject to change depending on the amount of participants). If somebody would like to participate but cannot find a tractor to pair with, participating tractors will be asked to pair with the individual.

The intent of these rules will be to ensure the safety of the pullers, officials and sled operators in the event of an emergency.

Weight classes will consist of 3500, 4500, 5500, 6500, 7500, 8500 and 9500.

There will be two designated classes, Stock/Top Cut tire, and Full Cut tire. Stock/Top Cut tractors are permitted to run in the Full Cut class.

Maximum tire size will be 18.4-38.

Hitch heights will be set at 18” for both classes.

The length of the track will be set at a 300’ Full Pull to ensure enough room for the sled operators to stop the tractors.

A 5mph speed limit will be enforced on both classes. Pullers will have the first 100’ to set their speed. After the first 100’, two horn blows will be given. The first horn blow will be a warning to reduce speed. The second horn blow will result in disqualification of the hook.

Pullers are required to tighten the chain and double tree prior to start of hook. Jerking of the sled will result in immediate disqualification of the hook.

The flag man will give the command to stop, however pullers are required to communicate to stop together in a safe manner.

Hey Alan! Looking forward to coming out and pulling. There are a few back here talking about coming out! A local club[Trout Run] has their three day show and pull that weekend though. Some will stay local and support that pull.

Brad, really glad to hear that you're planning on coming out. We're really looking forward to having some pretty good running tractors come in. Should be a good time. We're going to try and schedule earlier in the season next year so as not to be the same weekend as Trout run.
