Have a g John Deere that is going to be a stock engine that is going to be tractor pulling. I have had quite a few cams done by berrys in about 5 other john deeres but am now hearing some disturbing things about them. So now I am wondering who to send this cam to. Any ideas or advice would help thank you.

i had 1 done at denglers afew years back in a unstyled a. never had it dynoed but that darn thing would not quit lugging. nice people to talk to and know what theyre doing. ask for nick jr.

ive heard about that denglers cams also. had a buddy with 1 in a G. kinda pricey but whats alittle more money once u have questions on the same tractor? alot of places dont wanna answer questions about tech stuff. my buddy ended up talking to denglers on the phone for over an hour asking questions and nick didnt hesitate to help him. just my 2 cents

have josh do your cam he does all his own stuff in his new shop and doesnt farm it out like most do...u will be happy and u will get it back fast not in months or a yr from now

ray at extreme does ok work but if he still has that kevin guy workin for him, id shy away. hes a non-knowing know it all

I used to use Berry cams and was happy with their work. I'm not quite sure what is going on with them since Scott died. Bullet is quite a bit cheaper so I sent an Oliver 77 cam to them to grind.

Personally I think Extreme tractors does a great job! I had a tractor built by Kevin and Ray from Extreme and with Kevin"s help it has turned out to be a very competitive puller in my area

that kevin screwed up more than 1 motor of people ive known... call any RESPECTABLE person that hes known and theyll tell ya. when did he work on your tractor then BROWN???? PROBABLY NEVER DID

ray can definitely build em. but all i was stating is that id think twice before KEVIN there worked on anything u wanted to last more than a month.... might wanna have a guarantee from ray that kevin doesnt work on it. just a wise word of caution...

Well I pull in CO and I have a 9 3/4 stroke and 7 1/2 bore G that Extreme builders Ray AND Kevin built for me and I have never had a problem with it. And anyone that I have ever talked to that has used them has never had a problem so who do you talk to and what is your problem?

well s brown ive used about all the places that sell good parts. schooler, murphys, mets machine, all have good stuff. i personally havent had ray work on my tractors, but i have friends who have. and unless ray put that kevin back in tractor building school, then id stay away. now recently kevin may have gotten better, but hes half assed alot of different things in his day

I'm not sure how we went from "where to get a cam" to a discussion about a guy who has done work for me and used to work for Denglers. From what I recall the big A that they had in Ohio was actually built by Kevin to run on E-85.

I've never had anything but good work from him and still know if I need him I can count on him to help me out.

"big a puller", "PA john deere man" and "antique jd puller" and now "texas pullers", you know how to get ahold of me if you want you want to talk.
