OOPS No distributor gear!

Oops forgot the dist drove off the cam right where a rod needed to go. This is a little Continental motor in a 40 Ferguson. Bottom line we need a dist that runs off the crank. Or something from a 4 cyl car that has a crank trigger, maybe a knock sensor. Has someone done this. ph is 618 838 2225. It should really run good if it just had any spark! Thanks Vic

go over to the massey forum. "DavidG" showed some nice work on a massey 44 efi conversion n showed a trigger wheel setup. thought it was pretty neat!

MSD used to make a Midget Ignition system. It used a crank trigger and 2 pickups and had a coil with 4 outputs. It ran using waste spark. Also has the ability to put in a spark curve via a laptop. Pretty neat and easy to use system.

Thanks I ran across them looking on the internet. I have found out a Ford system from a 90 to 99 Escort is the cheapest and probably the best. Just need their crank sensor, trigger wheel, Coil pack, EDIS Module and a Megajolt Lite Jr. to give it advance and a tach. And if want to fuel injection it later you have a good start. Vic
