got a guy in our pulling club that has a ca allis chalmers (i think thats what it is) he pulls in our club once in a while and then a few other places in the farm stock classes, its no big monster stroker tractor but he says hes got alot of power and how he whooped up on all these 60 horse farmall M's last year.. he says hes boring the motor out with 4 and 1/8 pistons and stroking the motor like a half an inch or something like that and its going to be 201 cubic inches and hes using d-19 rods and has the head somewhat ported and polished and he says hes going to have around 100 horse and still pull in the stock class with his 14.9x24 tires non cuts, my question is a 100 horse even possible out of a set up like this? he thinks hes gonna whoop up on my M this year but im going to run a c281 with high comresion pistons,450 cam, brand new 450 lp head, stieners new lp manifold, stock stroke, electronic ignition, like 10 % over stock rpms ,and 14.9x38 tires.. does he have a chance or is he dreaming ?

The setup he"s talking about will give him about 264 cubes. I"m thinking he could get 65 to 70 hp if everything was working right. Even if he has more power than you, you need good setup to win. Your 38 inch tires are a major advantage. At 5500lb and up you should get the better of him.

It seems there's always a guy like that. It takes more then talk to bring home a trophy. Dont waist your time worrying about his or anyone's B.S.

The big talkers guys r always fun to beat. They r the first to complain when u beat them on how your tractor is not stock. And why would a guy that is doing good want to mess with the tractor. Just remember that u and him can have all the power u want but if u cant put it to the ground for traction the big motor did not do any good.

Rember,,,When the green flag drops, the bullsh_t stops! That little allis should run the hell out of a belly mower!

yeah im not worried about him at all but from what he was talking about doing to his tractor he said he'd have around 100 horse and i found that kind of hard to believe.

With the setup that you have you should be able to get 70 to 75 hp yourself if its tuned correctly. That plus 38 inch tires should beat him every time.

Is there a chance he is just messing with your head? In my opinion it would be a waste of time and money on the little allis that could. On the other hand maybe he has more money than brains!! Lol

in a deadweight pull, on asphalt or concrete, he could walk the dog over you, providing he doesnt break it in half, and he could do it at 60hp on his little tires.

These tractors hauled manure spreaders when in their younger years. Now they"re retired and the owners spread the BS. Kinda funny, huh?

haha good one! yeah have quite a few of those guys in our clubs that a full of a lot of BS! but all in all we still have a good time pulling:)

He's also more than likely the guy that always has someone to blame when he loses or breaks because he does none of the work himself.
