farmall h carb

On my 1944 farmall h coumd i put a carb jet from an M in it to get more power. Or could i just drill the holes out. Thanks for the help

You can drill out the holes in the metering stem, but you should not drill out the main metering jet because it cannot be easily replaced if you go too far.

The M metering stem and the H metering stem will NOT interchange.

There is NO carburetor modification you can do that will result in more power unless you also make some serious ENGINE modifications.
 
Agree. More fuel and more air equals more power.

More fuel without more air equals less power.

Big carb on big motor equals big power.

Big carb on small motor equals a poor runner.

There really isn't much of anything you can do
to a gas for bolt on power.
 

A manifold for a Super H through 350 will accept an M carburetor, but again, will not necessarily result in more horsepower.
 
I installed a Farmall M carburetor on a 350 (c175) on my farmall H. After pulling with it I lost bottom end it fell on its face. So I took the venturi out which was a #27 and put a #25 venturi. After adjusting the fuel mixture and getting the timing correct it pulls good. At the last pull I was at got a 1st and a 2nd place.
