the wc is a little easier to get light but a lot of people are messed up by the hand brakes. i would start with a wd or wd45.

Id like to beable to get into 3 or 3500...all my jds pull 5500 and up..ive got a line on a wd that needs motor job..and ive got a chance to buy a wd45 motor...i was thinking about putting 45 crank in wd with 4.125 over bore kit..maybe a little hd work..38in tires...what do you guys think it would make for hp and do u think it would pull good?

id splurge a little for an offset grind to 4.875 stroke with 4.125 pistons. you will make 60-65 hp depending on your setup and will have plenty of power past the weight that an allis likes.

If you have a 45 crank, which is 4.5 and you just stroke it to 5.0 you don't need to change anything. It will just push your piston up 1/4 of a inch. HAPI at Terre Haute In. will stroke your crank for 800 and there turn-around a month ago was 1 week. If you still want them, we have some 262 rods. Vic
