trailer length needed

For you guys who haul two tractors to a pull...how long a trailer is necessary to do it easily? Sometimes I'll have the luxury of loading two NF JD A's; sometimes it will be a W6 and a JD A. I'm thinking that minimally we'll need 24' of deck with a dovetail and anything longer than that is even better.
What are some of you guys using?
Thanks

Clint, I have been using a 25' with 5'dove tail trailer for years. I really like the size. I haul 2 tractors most of the time and have alot of room, I have even hauled 3 a few times. I just bought a new PJ with the same dimensions and really like it. Worth the money.

The guys are right 25 + 5 is just right. I have a 20+5. I can haul two tractors as long as one is a NF, and the wide WF is set in all the way. They need to overlap a little. But I would buy another 20+5 again. It is big enough for me and not to heavy to pull with a single rear wheel truck.

I have a 20 +4 and it is great for two narrow front tractors because both tractors are on the deck. If you want to haul two wide front tractors then longer is the answer.

I have a 20 plus 6, 8 1/2 ft wide, back the wide front on and swing front to one side, drive the narrow front on and past it, works good and not too long to get around with.

We haul a nf Allis Chalmers C, nf Farmall SH, and a nf Minneapolis Moline ZA on our 24ft upper deck and the front end of the Allis hangs down onto the 4ft Beavertail. Its a very tight fit but it works for us.

Here is the trailer my Dad bought a couple of years ago. Its 28ft total length, the dove tail is about 3ft. 17.5 wheels. 102" wide Its a fleetneck brand. Its just right for thease two plus a golf cart. I like this style as it is easier to load and chain everything down verses a flat deck.

hauling 2 on a 20' gooseneck with a 5' beaver tail isn't a problem but stopping it is .you will need tandem dually to stop.

20+4 works if u dont mind it siting on the tail 24+4 works and all is on deck both trailers i have been able to get 3 on

We use a 28' PJ Car Hauler similar to the one above. Two JD's with 11' front weight brackets. Both forward facing. Like the 102" wide, low profile.

I haul 2 one 5500 the other is 3500 on two axle 20ft and 5 dove. Stopping is fine I gear down take my time and always aware of others doing their fourwheeler style driving.

Trailers are kinda like sheds- never big enough. My 24+5 was tight for two tractors, and real tight for one big tractor and a 4 bottom plow. I figure a 30+5 is my minimum. I have a 40' PJ with an eight foot hydraulic tail, and it's by far my favorite of the many I've owned. I'll never lift ramps again if I don't have to.

A little outdated, but we hauled 2 NFs on 16ft.trucks for years with no problems.Ms-44s and equal sizes.I hauled 3(2NFs-1St.)and sometimes 4(3NFs-1ST)on a 25+5,all 3-4 plow size.So unless you want to pull a big trailer,16-20Ft.plus tail is plenty.16-18K trailer is more then enough.I have 2 16'16K&1 18+2 16K that are nice easy pulling trailers, plus a 30+5 with 12K axles for serious hauling. The bigger it is,the more trouble in tight places. Your choice.

I haul 2- one is 9500, other is 5000, plus 2000 in suitcase weights, extra fuel, tools, three spares (2 trailer 1 truck), cooler, clothes etc, all with an 86 F250 regular cab, single wheel, 6.9 N.A. diesel. Weighs 31480. Its a tri-axe trailer, NOT a fan of it. Hard on tires & bad for turning. But it stops fine- just keep all 6 brakes working. A tandem dual is the only way to go in my book.
