I am happy to announce that the Western Pennsylvania Antique Tractor Pullers Association will be putting on the Western Pennsylvania Classic at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in New Castle, PA on June 21 and 22. This weekend will be similar to Brad Peters' pull in Harrisburg and use the same rules. Classes will be 3.5mph non-altered tire, 3.5mph top cut, 5.5mph any cut and open.

Please keep posted for additional information to come!

Is there going to be prize money?

Is this the same weekend as the Oliver show?

Are there going to be Oliver only classes?

Thanks

It will be $10 hook fee with 50% payback provided that at least ten tractors are in the class. There will also be a 4250 and 6750 jackpot class for all 4 divisions.

Sounds Great! People have been asking for that 3.5mph top cut class! I looked at the rules. Will you go by those divisions that is listed and rpm limits? Or will you let the speed limits do the separating and slowing down of tractors? Just curious. Two weeks away from possibly the biggest one day tractor pull in the country!!!???

Brad what is the purpose of the carburetor rule? As the Deeres do not meet it & im guessing several brands have downdrafts. Is it a safety thing or just more of an equalizer rule? Just curious. Looks like a great pull event & I really like the Rpm rule!
Thanks

GTX,

Not speaking for Brad although I will be helping him at Mid A pull in a capacity yet to be determined. We here in Pa. had some problems in the carb area with one in particular running a huge airplane carb of two throat design. There has to be a little limits somewhere and Brad's rules have produced some very even classes. As far as I know there are no downdrafts being run here and if so would be in clear violation of the rules. I guess if you are going to put a down draft on a 4 barrel is the logical progression! However, people are on the honor system as we don't pull side panels. As part of my belief system I would not bring a tractor to a pull that does not meet the rules and hope others would take the same approach.
AFA the JD's are concerned, I would guess as they came from the factory in certain series with a dual throat side draft carb that would be considered stock and I doubt if anyone would quibble about their use even on models not so equipped from the factory. Here again I am not speaking for Brad in this matter but our pull is not built on picking people's tractors apart but being very mindful to try to give everyone a place to pull with tractors of similar capabilities.

Yes Rich it is time... been working on a different toy this winter. Put a v-8 in a '64 Rambler 770 Classic 2dr hardtop.

Thanks! The club i pull at has a rule of "any agricultural carb"
& then it has to have a factory made manifold, aftermarket is
ok such as heisler, Murphy, Johnson. This is the improved
class. Farm stock i believe needs a stock carb. Our rpm is
limited to 20%, the 30% + with blankets sounds much better!
