Belly weight bracket

Where should a belly weight bracket be attached on a Farmall M? Does it need to be in front of the rear tires for the best balance or can it be inside the rear tires..?

Mine is further back by the axle, but some friends have two belly brackets for heavy classes. If I ever pull heavier than 6500, I may do a second bracket.

This is with uncut tires. My front bracket holds enough to keep the front down, but cut tires might change that.

Here is the one I had on mine. Nothing fancy at all, and would hold several hundred pound on each side if needed.
