I just can't believe my eyes? Am I reading this question correctly?
Or were you out on adrinking spree last night?
ggp

you would want a new one and make sure it has a high cca. rating so it last a while till able to charge it.
and is this on diesel or gas as a gas will run down a batt. way faster.
worked with tractors for years that dont charge, just make sure your batt is fully charged at start of day.

huh ???. the starter dont care if the battery is being charged after engine is running, just as long as it has enough amps left for the next start. dont believe i am seeing an answer like this.

Are you running a electric fan or water pump, if so are they on a thermostat, MSD box or points, elec. fuel pump, all this matters?

I have have the best luck with jell batteries like they use in boats if you have them up front on your weight bracket. That being said when i went to MSD box i gave up and strated runnin an alerantor.I dont have mine hooked that way put you can put a switch on them and shut it off while you are pulling and then turn it on and let it charge when you are not hooked to sled.

Optima makes a really good one... Used to have one in race car. With electric fan, and no charging system, worked very well!!! Just need to keep a battery tender on it when not in use

(quoted from post at 12:34:56 02/15/13) Lots of surplus lithium Boeing 787 batteries hitting the market.

Good one B&D, if you had one of those would you "burn" down the track LOL.

I have my alt on a switch. It will charge a lot more. It is a little Nipp one without a regulator. Type in smart batteries L-Lion (spe lling) I think a 40 anper hr one just weights 15 lb.

Careful when pouring high current and high voltage into any battery, lithium in particular.
If the battery is warm to the touch, it's plenty.

I'm not using a L-Lithium battery in any of our tractors, But would like to in my golf cart. 3 of them are $1800 and the charger is 600 more. If you go for the 100 amper hr. ones they are like $6000 Maybe they will get cheaper! Vic
