Is the 201 engine considered USAP legal?

It should be! Their rules say, if it is the same no. of cylinders, mfg and will bolt in.

Unfortunately, the don't allow different deck height, even if bolt in like my 403 MM (unless it is a John Deere, then apparently it's ok). They also can't use a longer engine (Olie 77/88, Case VAC/201, IH 560/Red Dismond) unless Division 5.

The 201 won't bolt in with out drilling and taping the block to make fit!

Cliff I know a guy that put a combine motor in a 300. He said it bolted right in. A 300 is old enough isn't it?

Vic

In usap it may be old enough but NATPA says production start 1959 and older for div 1,2,2t and 1957 and older for div 3,4

The other problem with the 201 is its longer block and that changes the wheelbase and that's a no no.
