Are you bent on using 226? you would be much better off using a 44 with a 4 cylinder or getting one of the bigger motors i mentioned on the massey forum.

Just like any other engine add cubic inches. Stroke it to bring the pistons to block height. Spend time opening up the manifolds and also the block. Or find a 330 contenintal
