farmall 560 head bolts and leaky head gasket

I just has a 560 completely rebuilt by a very reputable machine shop in the area. It was put together basically for stock classes. Its a stock kit, head and block have both had fourty thousandths each taken off. The cam was redone to match the engine and he does a very good job making heads flow and this was also done along with new crank and oil pump. He has put two different head gaskets in it and cannot get it to stop leaking. I am perfectly confident with him that the block and head are true, like I said its a very reputable place in my area. The one and only thing that wasn't replaced was the head bolts so I guess thats the next step unless someone can give me a better suggestion. Is there anywhere around other than a dealer to get new head bolts and good quality ones at that? Thanks

The first gasket was a copper gasket that came with the engine kit that I got from Murphys, the second was a Felpro gasket. Thats whats in it now, after reading the reply from Gary I guess its coming back off too.

Copper gaskets can be tricky, and as Gary said, felpro are junk.

Get the case IH one and spray both sides with copper coat gasket spray. Let it tack up then install.

Waarm it up with RPM but no load till hot then re-torque. Warm up and re-torque once more. Now you should be good to go. Throw it at the dyno and break it in.

Felpro gaskets last about 1 hour for me. The company should be ashamed. They probably dont test their headgaskets. Ive talked to the company rep and they dont seem to care

with .080 removed, might not get any gasket to seal this already problematic area on these engines.

Huh, I just pulled the head on my 560 motor and it has an IH part# and also a Felpro marking.
Old engine, completely stock. no sign of any leakage.

What size head bolts are used on a 560 is it a gas or diesel I know some people that had this problem before with the 282 diesels in the 560 and the changed out the head with a head from a 706 with the 282 diesel which used one size bigger head bolts and drilled out and retaped the block for the bigger head bolts and make sure the bolts arnt bottoming out and use good head bolts from case in or arp my other question is are u running a turbo that can have some impact on this problem depending on how much boost pressure it has although I have run into the same problem on our 706 diesel with pump opened up a bit and the timeing advanced a lil running 3100 rpms on the dyno and put out 130hp and it would start to weep coolant out from the very back side of the head
