Is anyone using their blocks in a JD A

We have their blocks in 2 A's, one for 2 years, and one for 4 years. No problems at all, no coolent leaks, bolted in as expected, very good workmanship. I'm sure that you already know that you'll have to grind the front of the crankcase to accept the bigger sleeves. Mike

Like Mike said good workman ship.I have built 3 A's using his complete engine kits with no problems.the first 2 are serial #2 and #3.

What heads are you running?
Were your push rods long enough? (longer block)
What size spark plugs holes are in it?

Murphy's head with spark plugs in the head,small base plugs,push rods was to short with Murphy's head and block but worked on power block and Murphy's head.If you use a Murphy's head you will need his intake also..Duplex or single barrel your choice
