What is the best way to hook up the engine to transmission.Putting a 310 in a oliver 770,not using the T/A.The original shaft too long, any ideas?

| Shorten input shaft about 3/4" and slide radiator ahead a little, check and make sure the rules allow 12 port heads....
Might be beneficial to buy one already set up, a lot out there for sale for good prices... Cody Adgent has an 88 for a fair price on the classifieds
Also a couple 77s on there too, for a little more $$$$$
