My son loves to watch us work and build and loves to help. Its hard to weld with him around cause he wants to watch so he has his own helmet.

Travis, your son is very special, keep him interested as long as
you can. I watched my dad when I was little and at 5 years old
made my first motorized go cart. Welded up frame and
installed a 3 hp briggs belt drive no clutch. Did it all before
school and parents left for work. Hid it under bench and
tarped it. One day I finally finished it and brought it out to
show my dad. He could not believe I had done all this by
myself. Little did he know he created a monster Lol

To bad there where not alot more of these little guys. My Grandson is now 11 and he like to turn wrenches too........... keep up the great times teaching him all you can.

My son started when he was 12 turning wrenches on our ole ub. Got it running pretty much on his own. Took it to a pull and had trouble getting it to throttle up and Gary Baker was there and worked on it foe an hour or better and got it running right. My son now makes his living as a mechanic and pretty well could have a job any place he wants. Were now rebuilding the ub and my all most 3 year old grandson is out there every night we our helping. Don't know if you remember that or not Gary but I'll never forget it. Thank you

My son helping on my Oliver,I was out mowing lawn and found him in the garage working away! I told him he needed safety glasses on!
