Oliver 70 pullers

Going to pull an Oliver 70 next season and I'm aiming for the 2.5- 3.5 mph classes. with a set of 13.6-38" tires what kind of speeds are you guys running and what rpm ? What is the stock rpm for a 70?

One a wetter clay track I usually stay in first,if it's looser I've pulled in second & one time on a sandy track I pulled in 3rd.
My motor is bored,ported & ground the head.
I pulled in 3500 antique,it's a 39 w/13.6
I could usually put a weight (100lbs) on the front in the 3500 class,you need to make the rear lighter as the front tires would always pick up towards the end.
To really do any good you'll need to stroke it.

Try the more accurate oliver manual.natpa has some mistakes through out there charts.

Depends on where you are pulling, Sigourney goes off of the 3 gear rpm.
