is there a good way to brace the underside of the frame on the g to support the big 7 3/4 block because u have to grind so much out of the crank case i think its gonna be weak mabey sum tubing or sumthing from the back any ideas?

I have a piece of flat stock that connects my belly bar to my hitch to support mine.. I'm not running a huge motor but piece of mind if it would fly apart I can send you pics

Hey I know of just the thing you need. Give me a call sometime and I'll get you talking to the right guy on the braces.

If your going to go 7-3/4" block then it would be best to have a machine shop cut out the crankcase. We've done 2 crankcases for that size block in our machine shop on a mill and the wall's are THIN, even with the patches. I would also suggest that you wait until you actually get the block before having the crankcase bored... I know people are waiting on these blocks but have only seen one actually show up.

Crankcase has to be taken out, meaning rearend and front end have to be taken off so that just the crankcase goes on the mill. Also better if you take tranny out. If you haven't split/broke down a John deere G that much before it could seem like a big ordeal but it really isn't that hard and doesn't take that long
