Mw do u maybe have an idea where a person could get a smooth style hyd power trol housing like u have and my other question is would that power trol housing be sufficient enough to reinforce the rear end housing to with stand weighing the tractor down to 10500 or 12500 classes thats the reason why i haven't fabed up a steal one yet because when i weigh it up for the heavy classes im afraid I'll. Crack the rear end housing and i believe the cast power trol housing helps to reinforce the rear end housing what do u think im not considering installing one for the less weight im concidering it so i can get my drawbar in to 18 inches the ordinary live pto and rock shaft style housing is to long

I got lucky and a friend of mine actually located the rear cover for me, it's not perfect, the center of it has been welded and repaired from some sort of accidental close encounter, but that did not matter to me. It's factory, holds oil, and was priced right, that's all that matters. I did have a line on another one several months ago in the souther part of the country but they wanted good money for it. I can try to put you in contact with them if you would like. As far as the weight and support issue goes that is a good question. To my knowledge there was never a different spec for maximum ballasted weight for a 730 diesel dependent on the rear housing it came with, so that would lead me to believe that the factory flat back should offer enough support to match what the large rear cover could do. But if you look at it another way, without the three point their probably was'nt any way you could ever put enough stress on the rear axle housing to break it so alot of support from the rear cover probably wasent necessary with no three point hitch installed, if you can follow my line of thought there. You could kill two birds with one stone and put the flat back on and use wheel weights instead of suite case weights, that way the majority of the weight is being carried by just the rims and tires and not being transfered through the chassis of the tractor, just a thought.
