John deere G 8 inch stroke

Depends on the journal diameter. And if using a stock rod or an aftermarket offset cap rod with cap screw style bolts.
Should be able to go more than 8" with the offset cap rods and an A sized rod bearing.
 
I've seen 8.25" with A rods. A little clearance and the back and a little to the camshaft.

Next year, you'll be asking what it takes to put a 9.25" or 10" in, and if your +0.125" MW pistons will work. The answer to those questions is, 9.25", not bad, 10" quite a bit, and no, your old pistons won't work.
 
Ive got the 8in motor forsale in parts ad..it will fit in easy just top of case has to be cleananced..by crank case cover...nice motor if u dont want to cut case and go big..its all about how much money u want to spend..not everyone can afford $4500 for a big bore block...iam going with a bigger stroke probaly still using stock block..be careful who u deal with for parts.. id give josh blackburn a call if your getting new stuff

Actually for what im doing i probably dont even need the 8 inch stroke but i thought i would ask about it. But at least now i know what ill be doing "next year".
