But im NO expert & run slow, low hp deeres. In theory more plys should be stiffer but an 8-ply rating dont mean it has 8 plies necessarily :~ [Reply]  [No Email]

My tractor has a 6 ply on one side and an 8 ply on the other. Both cut the same. It pulls in a straight line and I've never noticed any difference. There was only a 5 lb difference in Firestone 6 & 8 ply tires from the factory in the 151 style I run. Z [Reply]  [No Email]

I've had my but kicked by numerous tractors that didn"t have matching tires on it. Harold Harper used to take names with a 77 with an Armstrong on one side & a Goodyear on the other!! Both were cut good and that was all that mattered. I think people way overthink the 6ply vs 8ply deal. Just my .02 [Reply]  [No Email]
