Does anyone have any idea how many CFM a CASE 504 will breathe? Naturally aspirated or turbo either? I'm thinking I read somewhere or figured at one time that a 504BDT should be around 1100 CFM max. I have no clue why I'm thinking that or even what rpm, load, etc. Just in my head. Thanks for any insight on this. |

| At 2200rpm it should require about 260cfm. That would be about the requirements for a naturally aspirated gas engine anyway. |

| I would guess HALF that cfm based on a myriad of online cfm calculators. Ex: a 420ci engine @ 1500 rpm is only 160 cfm.....at 100% V.E. |

| | That should be 182cfm base on the engine outlined at 100%VE. A 504 at 2200 rpm and 100%VE would be 320cfm. At 80VE the engine would require 256cfm. Double the rpm, double the cfm z9assuming the same VE at both rpm's, not neccessarily a good assumption). Not saying the Case is that efficient, just grinding out the numbers. |
