Thank you so very much for remembering my Father, Bob Crouch a.k.a. "Uncle Buck". He died December 19th of a massive heart attack. He loved spending his weekends with all of you, pulling tractors and trading stories. In lieu of a funeral and memorial service, the weekend of May 17, 2013, we are having a life celebration in his honor, complete with a tractor pull in Barton, Vermont at the Barton Fairgrounds. We would be honored and proud to have you join us to celebrate his life and hobby. Send me an email if you'd all like more information when we get a little closer, we will have details soon. Sincerely, Amy Crouch. vtcrouch@gmail.com

I knew Bob well, it still hasn't sunk in, I suppose when we start pulling again in the spring and he isn't there with that Bad "G" of his thats when it will really hit me. I pulled against him in the open class this past fall at the Barton Vermont fair grounds, he was so far out in front of me he was in the next zip code! As noted on this forum, he would help anybody, a great guy a lot of knowledge. He will be sorely missed what a sad day...

Not living in the NE I never knew Bob or saw him pull that G, but looking at the videos I sure wish I could make one of my G's run like that....right now I think I'm "about halfway". It sure looks like he really "knew his stuff" and from what is mentioned here was a pretty nice guy. RIP "Uncle Buck", I sure hope there's some John Deeres up there where you are now.

That is sad. I was thinking of him just yesterday, about how I'd like to see Uncle Buck up against "Full Strut". I don't think that it would have been much of a contest. Bob came south to more pulls than about any of the other guys it seems, so we saw a lot of him. I used to like the crane stories too. We will miss Bob and uncle Buck

Bob was a lot of fun to talk with. A no BS kinda guy. His G is quite a sight to see him run. Some video of him on YouTube under "Uncle Buck deerfield"

I Didn't know Bob. But just went to look at a clip On tube, and got a 2011 clip up. All of you that did know him have lost a great guy, from what i saw when he skillfully nursed that amazing looking and Running Deere to a full pull It takes a lot for me to say that as I'm not a Deere fan either.
I am Thinking of his family and his many Friends at this sad time.
Robert

I have known Bob for yrs. That man had a heart of Gold. If you didn't know him he may have come across as a litte tough, but he was a Great Guy. He was always willing to give you a better idea on how you may have done better on a pull, or some little thing to make you tractor pull better. I had many good conversations with Bob at many pulls over the last 15 yrs. He will surely be missed by all his pulling buddy's. He was for sure a Good Man. RIP Bob. Northern Vt. Puller.....
